Private Day Trip to Mariánské Lázně
Mariánské Lázně is a showcase of cream-and-white spa houses, colonnades, and springs where Goethe and Chopin once strolled. The Singing Fountain chimes out its melodies on the hour, and the whole town has been a UNESCO site since 2021. We’ll drive you from Prague with plenty of time to explore at your own pace.
Why Go Here
Mariánské Lázně – A Classic Spa Town
Nestled in a green valley near Cheb in western Bohemia, Mariánské Lázně grew up around healing springs in the 19th century and still radiates spa-town elegance — parks, promenades, and one beautiful building after another.
The heart of town is the cast-iron Colonnade of Maxim Gorky, with the Singing Fountain in front that bursts into music on the hour. Springs like the Cross Spring and Rudolf Spring can be sampled from a porcelain cup. Since 2021, the spa has been part of the UNESCO listing “Great Spa Towns of Europe.”
From Prague it’s about 170 kilometers and a two-hour drive. With a private driver, you leave early, spend the whole day in the spa, and the same car brings you back in the evening.
