Prague Airport Transfer to City Centre: Price, How It Works and What to Expect

Landing in Prague and want to get from the airport to your hotel without searching, haggling or surprise charges? That is exactly what a transfer is for: a car with a driver waiting for you in the arrivals hall, who knows your destination address and has a pre-agreed price. Here is everything you need to know.

How much a Prague Airport transfer to the city centre costs

A flat fixed price applies for journeys within Prague and up to 20 km from Václav Havel Airport Prague:

• Sedan / estate from 790 CZK – 1 to 4 people, approximately 3 large suitcases.
• Minivan from 990 CZK – 1 to 7 people, up to 7 suitcases.

The price is per vehicle, not per person. You see it in the calculator before booking, and from that moment it is guaranteed – it does not change due to traffic, diversions or tailbacks on Evropská street. No taximeter, no extra luggage charges.

Travelling further than 20 km (Karlovy Vary, Český Krumlov, Dresden…)? The price is calculated per kilometre: sedan 36 CZK/km, minivan 50 CZK/km. The calculator will figure out the exact amount in advance, and it will not change afterwards.

How it works from booking to arrival

1. Book online – enter your destination address or hotel, date, arrival time and flight number. You will receive a confirmation by email.
2. Dispatch assigns the ride to a driver, who monitors your flight from then on.
3. The driver sets off in good time based on the actual landing time. If your flight is delayed, they wait – at no extra charge.
4. After landing, you will receive a WhatsApp message or SMS letting you know where the driver is standing. Let them know once you collect your luggage.
5. A driver holding a sign with your name awaits you in the arrivals hall. They will help with your luggage and you are off.

The journey from the airport to Prague city centre usually takes 30–45 minutes depending on traffic.

Terminal 1 or Terminal 2?

Flights from Schengen countries land at Terminal 2, flights from non-Schengen countries (e.g. the UK, USA, Turkey) at Terminal 1. You do not need to worry about this – the driver knows from the flight number and waits in the right place. Simply provide the correct flight number in your booking.

Travelling with children, in a group or with lots of luggage

Child seats are free of charge – just specify them in your booking so the driver arrives with the right one. For 5 to 7 people, or a family with a pushchair and suitcases, a minivan is more comfortable than two sedans and works out cheaper.

Payment and cancellation

You can pay online by card when booking (including Apple Pay and Google Pay), by card with the driver via terminal, or in cash to the driver. Cancellation is free up to one day before the ride – if you paid in advance, we will refund 100%. Cancellations on the day of arrival are non-refundable, as the driver has reserved that time exclusively for you.

What to watch out for in the arrivals hall

After exiting into the hall, people may approach you asking “Taxi?”. They are not our drivers, and rides with them tend to be significantly more expensive. Our driver will never solicit customers – they wait in place holding a sign with your name and will contact you by message.
