Trip to Olomouc with your private driver
Olomouc has the atmosphere of a student city and the dignity of a centuries-old ecclesiastical metropolis. The Baroque Holy Trinity Column on the main square is a UNESCO site, the astronomical clock chimes in its own way, and you won't find such a collection of fountains anywhere else. From Prague, your driver will take you there in one ride.
Why this place
Olomouc: a city where history breathes from every corner
Olomouc was once the capital of Moravia, and it still shows. The historic center is the second largest in the country after Prague, and you can walk through it from one square to another.
In the middle of the Upper Square stands the thirty-five-meter-high Holy Trinity Column, listed as a UNESCO site since 2000. A bit further away, the astronomical clock chimes, six Baroque fountains splash across the squares, and the towers of St. Wenceslas Cathedral rise above the city.
From Prague, it is about 277 kilometers by car, and the journey takes around three hours. With your private driver, you travel directly — they pick you up at home or at the airport and bring you back in the evening.
What to see
What to definitely see in Olomouc
Sights that will take your breath away – from UNESCO to Baroque gems

Holy Trinity Column
The Holy Trinity Column on the Upper Square is the largest Baroque sculptural group in Central Europe, measuring 35 meters. It has been on the UNESCO list since 2000.
Inside there is a small chapel. The column was commissioned by Olomouc burghers in the 18th century as a thanks for the end of the plague.

Baroque fountains
Olomouc has six preserved Baroque fountains with ancient motifs — Caesar's, Hercules', Neptune's and others. They form a unique circuit around the city.
Caesar's Fountain recalls the legend that the city was founded by Julius Caesar. Water still flows in them today.

Olomouc Astronomical Clock
The astronomical clock on the town hall is one of the few heliocentric ones in the world. After its reconstruction in the 1950s, it features figures of workers and scientists in the spirit of socialist realism.
Every day at noon, it is set in motion. The mosaics and zodiac signs are worth a close look.

Cathedral of St. Wenceslaus
The Cathedral of St. Wenceslaus has the tallest church tower in Moravia, over one hundred meters. Originally a Romanesque building, it received a Neo-Gothic form.
Right next to it stands the Přemyslid Palace with Romanesque windows. It is the spiritual center of the city.

Upper Square
The main square of Olomouc with the town hall, astronomical clock, and the Holy Trinity Column. A lively place full of cafés and restaurants.
Town Hall with the Astronomical Clock

Svatý Kopeček

Klášter Hradisko
Baroque monastery with a long history. Today it houses a military hospital, but the grounds are accessible to the public.
Divadelní Flora
An international theatre festival that enlivens the streets and theatre halls of Olomouc every year. It takes place in May.
Flora Olomouc
An exhibition of horticulture and flowers with a tradition dating back to 1958. It attracts tens of thousands of visitors annually.
